Codex Spime, Folios 1 and 2
2024
14” x 11”
4th Edition
Archival pigment print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Ultra Smooth
Unframed

$125

The Mesoamerican codices were burned by the Spanish at the start of the conquest of the Americas and only a few remain in existence. Spime is a neologism for a futuristic object that can be tracked through space and time throughout its lifetime. Spimes are essentially virtual master objects that can, at various times, have physical incarnations of themselves. The images in the book and editioned prints were created from 3D scans of archeological objects at the National Museum of Archeology in Mexico City and manipulated in 3D modeling software. With Codex Spime, I reimagine the Mesoamerican codices by creating a speculative, linear-time defying narrative that points to ongoing legacies of epistemicide, nationalism and archeology.

6 Murmures
2017 – 2025
1.5″ x 2″ (Each)
6 miniature glass jars, dusted paper, & ink containing a murmur
Unframed

$200

6 Murmures: miniature glass jars that hold a murmur—an ephemeral fragment of sound captured through an intimate process. The murmur was first whispered into ink, transforming voice into liquid memory. That ink was then poured onto dusted paper, allowing the fleeting nature of sound to leave a physical trace. The jar becomes a vessel not just for containment, but for the preservation of something once imperceptible—an invisible moment made tangible.

In line with Natalia Villanueva Linares’ practice of animating everyday objects with profound poetic resonance, this miniature jar becomes a monument to the immeasurable. It reflects her notion of “sensitive mathematics,” where the soft whisper of a murmur—counted, told, and transformed—echoes through ink and dust. The use of worn, humble materials and an invisible gesture speaks to her philosophy of distribution through destruction, and generosity through material. The jar, though small, participates in the continuity between the immense and the minute, radiating with quiet power, and inviting us to listen more closely to the stories embedded in matter itself.

Rain Prints
2024
5″ x 7″
Lumen print – 4/10

$100 (Unframed)
$200 (Framed)

This series of lumen prints was created during my time at Murmuration Residency in Arena, Wisconsin, using the rain that fell throughout my stay. Expanding on my earlier copper rain drawings, these works respond directly to the particular rhythms of this landscape: the space, the climate, and the time of the year.

In Wisconsin, around the solstice, rain acts as a vital force. It softens the ground, feeds the roots, and awakens textures, colors, and scents that have been resting through the winter and early spring. Throughout the residency, we witnessed a shift in the landscape: buds becoming leaves, flowers opening, the forest deepening in green, birds returning, insects, moister, and mushrooms emerging. We could feel summer coming, and the earth seemed to breathe more fully each day.

These prints are part of that process. Made with rainwater, light, and time. They hold the marks of a landscape in transition and capture traces of its seasonal awakening.

Pensando en vos sin verte
2025
13″ x 21″
Mixed media photography
Printed photo stretched

$300

This work talks about how public surfaces work as supportive skins that carry marks and traces that speak about the memory of an action, the loss of something, and the passage of time. I took the initial photo from a broken window a couple of blocks from my home in my current neighborhood, Logan square. Printed on velvet, the image has been overlapped with a layer of foil which results in obscuring the image that still emanates from memory.

Poder Latine
2023
12″ x 18″
Lino print
Unframed

$80

This lithograph explores the complexity and richness of pan–Latin American identity through the imagery of a mask. The work intertwines often forgotten intersections of Indigenous and African cultural influences that shape the Latine experience. By merging visual elements from multiple traditions, the piece reflects the layered histories and shared heritage that continue to define Latine identity across the Americas. As well as looking into the future of the Latine identity with the inclusion of gender inclusive Spanish.

Fantasma #1
2025
8’’ x 12’’
35mm scan printed on wood
Unframed

$250

“Fantasma #1” is a part of a larger series of 35mm film photographs made intuitively, via multiple exposures, of the Ecuadorian coastal countryside. Through the process of taking multiple exposures and then transferring the resulting images of these sites (which are at the core of Ecuador’s conflicted political and economic history) onto ubiquitous materials like wood, the artist hopes to reproduce a physical manifestation of memory like a phantom. The work proposes to haunt the perception of such sites as peripheral extraction.

Jonah
2025
16″ x 12″
Edition of 36, 2 AP
Digital drawing, inject print on Japanese paper
Unframed

$100

In the Bible, Jonah is a prophet whom God sends to reprimand the people of Nineveh for their sins. Instead, Jonah boards a ship and attempts to flee. When a storm breaks, he tells the sailors it is his fault for failing to follow God’s command. After they throw him overboard, he is swallowed by a large fish, where he prays. Eventually, he is expelled onto dry land by the grace of Yahweh. This work seeks to convey the conflicting sentiments produced by self-exile in the context of the massive migration of Venezuelans over the last decade.

Untitled (Cocoons)
2025
11.7″ x 8.3″
Ink on paper
Unframed

$250

This ink-on-paper work presents a dynamic constellation of gestural forms. At the center, a broad, oval head with wide, hollow eyes with a jagged, expressive mouth evokes something between a creature, a mask, and an emotional state. Above and below it, two elongated, cocoon-like forms contain compressed faces; these resemble wrapped figures, effigies, or embryonic presences. Their interiors are filled with spiraling marks, loops, and intersecting strokes that create a sense of internal turbulence. To the upper right, a small architectural element resembling a fragmented doorway adds a structural counterpoint to the organic forms.
